Healthwatch Training

January 26, 2013

We are delighted to have been referenced throughout the LGAs latest Healthwatch publication ‘Knowledge and skills and competencies for an effective local healthwatch’.

Back in 2009 we worked with Help and Care to develop a series of training modules for LINks that we have delivered across the country to more than 60 LINks over the past 5 years with excellent feedback, “The training gave me the confidence and understanding of the format, safeguarding, protocols and how to include them in any future enter and view.” “It was all very interesting and informative. The Zoom exercise was brilliant.”

In readiness for Healthwatch we have re-freshed all our training modules and have developed new materials fit for the future.

Our training is available to be delivered in your area – do get in touch to discuss your needs at or call direct on 07964 007884.

New for 2013 – we are planning a series of one-off sessions in central London with limited spaces:

  • Healthwatch – Why membership doesn’t matter – looking at how to be truly representative, the role of community champions and community researchers, engaging with citizens and using evidence and insight to influence decisions
  • Patient and Public Involvement in the new world – looking at working with users of services as partners in commissioning, public and patients at key stages of the commissioning cycle and making choices for future public services and the increasing challenge of democratic legitimacy to commissioners and service leaders
  • Healthwatch – What does good look like? – looking at indicators for success, embedding quality into everyday practice and practical tools to achieve continuous improvement
